I use Shell V-Power 93 octane in all my cars, except our little 2.5 I4 Cutlass Ciera... that gets 89 octane. V-Power seems to work the best, especially when I had my supercharged Pontiac Bonneville, plus it only has 10% ethanol or less.
LOL, American petrol is pretty poor ;D

The minimum we can by in the UK (and across most of western europe) is 95 Octane

Which reminds me, its on vapour now. Should I fill at BP here (68.9p) or risk getting to Milton Keynes (60.9p)... ...decisions, decisions.

Stick a tenners worth in at BP, then fill at MK :y

Even at BP's extortionate prices it's still cheaper than petrol ;) ;)

Nah, you know I boycott those retards at Brackley BP.  Even if it costs me more, I have that warm feeling that those pillocks aren't getting anything out of me ;)

The tractor uses local garage Esso and runs superbly. :y Avoid using the 'supermarket stuff' in it. :-[

I used to alternate my tractor - 2 or 3 tanks of cheapo Asda, then a tank of good stuff to reduce the black smoke ;D

Cheapo crap for me, couldn't tell the difference when I put expensive stuff in  ::)

Have to agree there. I've tried the super unleaded, Ultimate etc. and can honestly say there's no noticeable difference from using cheaper supermarket fuel, so I tend to fill up at our local Sainsbury's.
Autoexpress magazine ran a comprehensive test on all the different fuels a few months back and there was negligable difference in the quality between the major oil companies and supermarket fuel. Also, most supermarket fuel comes from the same refineries.

For the V6 people of course! :D

Supermarket petrol I am staying clear of, I have just switched to Shell and am a member of the drivers club. :D
You do have to spend £45,000 before you're eligible for a free 10p mix of sweets but I am convinced there fuel is better and lasts longer!

I have heard that this supermarket fuel has 15% ethanol, which is 12% more than what Shell use.

Whilst on the subject of fuel, does anyone run their diesel omega on cooking oil?  :y

Also considering an LPG conversion, saw it advertised for £900 in one day, I think that's the best offer I have seen so far.
Where was the advert mate Im going to LPG it in a couple of months time.

I wouldn't touch a "one day wonder" with a barge pole ... takes at least 3 days to do the job properly. If they do it in a day they are NOT removing the inlet manifold to drill it .. so where does all the swarf go ??

Kevin Woods posted some pictures of the amount of swarf generated when he drilled a manifold on a bench .. I'd hate to think of all that rubbish inside my engine .. :(
