WIM geometry

 Hi guys.....had Lemforder w/bones and TRE's fitted last week, so went down to WIM at the weekend, and WOW     what a difference and superb job Tony and his lads did !! My mig has never driven so straight and smooth !! Highly recomend them to set your car up - spot on - thanks lads  :y :y :y

Reminds me, just had two letters reminding me that the Estate and the 3.2 are due a checkup..... Only problem is that the DTi Elite needs to visit them sooner!

When's payday again????  ::) :D

i might sound dumb but how come these guy are so good? And does anyone know how much they charge?

They understand Geometry, which puts them above most other places, but also understand the defficiencies of the Vx settings once the car's suspension ages.

£95 + VAT at most of their franchises, £65+VAT (I think) at Chesham if you mention OOF.

charged me £60 + vat as an oofer; £6.50 + vat per wheel for balancing.   Like TB says.....they understand geometry of the Omega........ and Paul explained and shows you all the read outs/displays, why they are like it and then when they are corrected.  :y :y

Speaking of geo setups.. Has anyone got any experience of WIM working on a car with suspension where the camber adjustment is via adjustable slotted top mounts (aftermarket top mounts on an MR2 in this case)?

Just wondering if it's worth a drive up there in the other car :)

No direct experience of that set up, but they have all sorts parked outside in the proverbial queue, when I've been there, from drift cars to Aston Martins and Ferraris, to a Talbot sunbeam with everything modified, if it's adjustable, they can measure it and set to suit in relation to the complaint or what ever you want.

Ta guys, I shall give them a ring soon - I need to get the geo checked again before I go up to Anglesea circuit later this year :)

Just as soon as I can move again, that is.. threw my back out this morning.. showering! Must be getting old  :-/

One of my mates has an Octavia vRS (much like mine), and took it there - he couldn't believe the difference.

I had my Omega set up there, many moons ago, and it made such a difference. Dunlop SP9000s all round, twas an MV6, and it was brilliant.
