Buy your fuel by tomorrow

For those who don't know, there will be a 1% increase in fuel duty from the government effective 1st October, so fill up now!

Did you not see the 'think tank' idea for improving the PAYE system?

Your salary would be paid direct to the Government (HMRC) and they will then send you what is left after tax is deducted...

Its going up 1p not 1%  :y

Then a further rise in jan 2011 of 0.76p

All committed in the (Labour) 2010 budget

I was thinking more along the lines of.. can you imagine what will happen when they forget to forward the remainder of the money one month and the entire country goes without pay?
