Thanks Tunnie

Found the vx scrappy dealer i have been looking for  :y

It was in Great Somerford and not Somerford Keynes as I thought.

Altho hes not a vx scrappy dealer as such more a vx dismantlers.

So you carnt go getting the parts yourself.....he goes to get them  :(
You just stand at the counter while he disapears off and returns with requested item.

Asked him for a coil pack for a veccy 1.8.....5 mins later he was back with one.....i did mention they were prone to fail esp for lpg vx's......he seemed to know...and said he did....lpg's need a better spark was his remark....so i asked if i could bring it back if it wasnt any good....he said sure....then promptly stuck a tamperproof label on it....doesnt he trust me then? to take the same one back :-/ ::) ;D

Might be false ecomony...i will see...but these coil packs are over £100 at the dealers.

Also asked for a radiator water bottle for my 2.2 .... said he needed the part no....coz these are different so he reckoned between engine sizes....i thought these were all the same...dunno havent looked it up yet.

Forgot to ask for front ashtray complete with wood trim.....tho suspect i will be back there soon.

Also anyone know how much an indicator stalk is with cruise control is at the dealers......he wanted £20 for one.....which i thought was a bit high...so didnt buy it.....i thought they were only about £30ish at the dealers  :-/ Mines playing up.....most of the time it doesnt cancel after indicating left.

Glad to be of service  :y

Brand new stalks are around £36 ish from stealers, fitted on to my dads facelift. Has a much nicer feel than mine, ( mine was a scrappy one, which was errr free  ::) ) Considering getting a brand new one.  :)

Are VeccyB coil packs the same as VeccyC?? - If so we have a good supply of VeccyB's in our local scrappy  :)

Stalks are about £30, and cruise ones seem to not last long (keeps putting main beam on under braking), so 2nd hand is false economy.

Ordered this one from Ebay. Quick delivery and appeared brand new.

Ends in half an hour but they appear to have a supply.

It's a manufacturers sticker, not printed. Don't know what it means maybe the topic of a new thread?
