This reminds me of when I worked at Vx in Luton in 1985. I'd very proudly just got my first employee leased car - a brand new Astra B GTE 1.8 with 115Bhp and all factory options fitted.

We needed to take 2 vehicles to a job in Dunstable, so I took the GTE and my pal took his HA van - which was ex British Gas.

In short - he left me for dead on the slip road of the M1. I was gutted when we got to Dunstable - only feeling a bit better when he admitted that he had a 2.6 Magnum engine under the bonnet which had been breathed on somewhat.  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

at a recent track-day I saw a Reliant Kitten which was no more than a 2-litre Westfield with a Kitten-shaped body on it.

probably just about the same thing - I've never seen a car spin out so fast in my life !

Cant remember the BHP in them as standard  but wasnt a lot, but easily had mine on 2 wheels more than once , Think I would prefer a CF with 400 BHP thoguh.

Best to try and shunt them into a siding before they cause too much damage. ;D
