In fairness, from their PoV, if you couldn't make the interview, would you not be able to get to work if the same situation arose?

Could you have not got a taxi, or use MK's better-than-most public transport?


When I used to have staff (no longer, thank god!), when I used to be recruiting, no show for any reason meant no job. "I do not feel well" or "the car broke down" etc is only a sign of hassle once employed.  In my case, IT, there are so many wannabies prepared to take my vacancies for peanuts, I could pick and choose the best....

When I used to have staff (no longer, thank god!), when I used to be recruiting, no show for any reason meant no job. "I do not feel well" or "the car broke down" etc is only a sign of hassle once employed.  In my case, IT, there are so many wannabies prepared to take my vacancies for peanuts, I could pick and choose the best....

If the same situation arose and I was actualy im work, I would have had the means to  buy the parts and fix it overnight matey!

Yup your right on the staff thing though , before i was made redundant from Fiega Merlin I used to have about 40 staff, and me own secratary! And if I was recruting, and and someone couldnt make an interview, no job!
