looks like a bargain and a half to me.

Depends if you've real sentimental / emotional attachment to your current car, really. Can't see it'll take much to get this 2.2 going, really.

My present state estate is looking a bit rough around the edges but I like it.It has been serviced at the budget end of the scale by it's previous owners so is beginning to start the slippery slope of being a money pit.Do I stasrt again or keep a known quantity?

Nothing wrong with a 4 pot, been running them for 10 years, this is a manual so has the edge over auto, which we prefer......

OK, not as fast as a v6 but that's it, in every other way it is an Omega :y actually that should be an Omega without the huge running and repair costs of a V6 engine :D :D :D

The coil pack, is a bit fiddly but can be changed without having to remove anything in the engine bay, only the plug cables out of the way.... simple DIY :y :y

PS
Even the cam belt and tensioners etc is a doddle.... :y

I HAVE HAD IT ON A COMPUTER AND IT HAS COME BACK AS THE COIL

PACK,HOWEVER PRICEING ONE UP AT £90 I DECIDED TO PUT A SET OF PLUGS IN IT AND IT MADE

NO DIFFERANCE SO LOOKS LIKE ITS A COIL PACK,OR SOMETHING ELSE

Computor will NOT say coil pack .. it would only say misfire.

If the computer says coil pack why change plugs ??

Coil pack is £90 .. so we'll sell the car for peanuts instead of replacing and getting the proper price ....

My bet is the "something else" he knows about and is not saying ..... :(

Just my thoughts .. nowt else .. :)

There are LOTS of CD spec cars out there, & imho you could get one with at least some SH (for what that's worth ::)) and no running issues for the same/similar money? These cars (Omega's in general) are going for criminally low prices now, it's just a matter of cherry picking a good one  :y

I have to wonder why they changed the plugs when they had indications of the dispack...  Also if they suspected the plugs were at fault, being a standard servce change, what else was neglected during its previous services???  Oil???
