How is this judder related to the chip upgrade?  I have recently chipped my car and now get this judder  :(
mainly in top gear at around 1500 rpm.

Is it something that can be fixed or not?

I get the 1500 rpm judder too...  I solve it by pressing the accelerator, or changing gear...  Big nuisance in slow traffic, makes it look like you can't drive, it is worse in 1st and 2nd than any other gear...

I've spoken to the chip guy about this judder at 1500rpm, and it only seems to happen on some 427 manuals, yet not all.  Having driven the chip guy's 427 manual estate (now sold, silly arse), its a joy to drive compared to standard, and imho, the 427 with manual box is the best combination. Its just some seem prone to this 1500 judder.

The judder does not show up with the GM chip in, but the current thinking is the upgrade chips are showing an underlying issue with the system that doesn't show up with the GM chip.

Mine is allegedly an Opel Chip, that said, it did come from Lithuania and purchased through FleeBay...

My thoughts are along the lines that it could be the point at which the turbo is due to kick in, causing the power (more specifically the torque) to fluctuate...

yep just when boost is beginning to climb, foot hard down and it appears to be ok, but normal driving and its there worse on some cars than others, must be  something to do with the pump just beginning to throw extra fuel in for the boost,
just as an aside do any of the affected owners know the number of the chip? im wondering if he has purchased cheap chips and they are not running at the correct m,s, speeds>
i.e should be a faster acting chip? would need to compare the uprated make with the origional vaux chip i guess to find out?
