looked after a friends for 6 years before we moved, they are ok little small inside compared to the l200 doublecab,
has coil springs on the rear as opposed to leaf on the l200, interior is a bit plasticky, tend to suffer from rattlesinside, cam belt evry 54k max on the 2.5td i do them at 45k to be safe,  oil is changed every 4.5k max, , they wear suspension bushes till you replace them with poly set from milners, front wheel bearings can get a little sloppy , drive very well if you dont want to go fast, good solid buy though :y

oh dear!! 2.8 is very very thirsty!!! has a camchain so no worries there but they can suffer failure of the pump seals leading to very difficult starting in the mornings, its not a bad job to change on the early ones but harder on later ones, they seem to eat glowplugs as well for some strange reason(guess its the pulsed timing when engine is cold) and the glow plugs are extremely expensive for the 2.8! also can suffer from clutch flywheel problems, bear in mind thouh im only telling you the problems they CAN suffer with, not all are the same guess it depends on whther or not it was uilt on a friday!! :y

That mpg is more or less the same as what I'm getting at the mo. I've run it through the insurance company and it's quite a bit less than my omega and I can't believe it's cheaper on road tax aswell. In you opinion are they good cars or are they one of them to stay away from?
