45.8 To The Gallon

Had a trip to Derby & back earlier, via A38 & stopped off at Dads on the way back to give them their Christmas presents.
So some sixty MPH on the A38 with the cruise on & steady A road driving (hills, corners etc) all in all around 55 miles & Burt returned nearly 46 to gallon, i really can't grumble at that can i :y :y

That's very good, I wish I got that, what do you get round town? It would have to be low to mid thirties for me to give up the v6!

Then i'd have two V6's!

Actually my Mrs' has took over the Estate now so i'm down to just the one DTi. Must admit I don't spare the horses in mine and it still sits in the high thirties. When I use it on the Motorway it's way above that.

I know there is a big hole in my logic there! I didn't realise the mpg was that good!

That's crazy!! You must drive like a grannie!

That's amazing though really. I'm sure someone on OOf once said that the diesels don't return much more mpg than the v6s?
