Parts for VW camper vans
« on: 02 February 2011, 11:24:08 »

A good friend of mine in the states has had a VW camper van since the early 80's, kept it in prestine condition and does not want to get rid of it esp now it is worth a bit of money.

Her nearside, drivers side to us, window winding mechanism is stiff and needs replacing but it is impossible to find parts over there and the garage offered to build one from scratch at huge cost.

I thought it would be easy to find parts over here but web searches and ebay have all proved fruitless.

Does anyone here know where I may find a part?

Try German & Swedish in Exeter, we used to get all of my sons beetle parts from them, very good on price to from what I can remember.

What about Westfalia and associated companies?
I have in the past enquired about parts from the following;

http://www.vwcampersales.com/vw-camper-van-accessories.php

They were able to get various bits and pieces for me, from trim to mechanical parts.
