My first car was a Sierra, a 1.6 laser. I still remember the reg  B326 NEC. I wonder if there is a way of finding out if its still going?

Well yes & no, it means its liable for road tax (ie it expires on date shown) So it could be garaged somewhere and declared sorn, or it has been scrapped.

Declaring it SORN 'resets' the date of liability, so if the date is in the past.. it's been scrapped and/or someone is getting fined

My Nissan has been SORNed for the past ... six years and this is what the DVLA say:

I would rather have a MKIV Cortina with the same engine.......
