Land Rover Discovery Central Locking
« on: 08 February 2011, 23:04:51 »

Mrs. Loo-knee's Discovery Central Locking is not working at all. The fuse works the electric windows aswell as the CL, but the electric windows work perfectly.....
So decided to swap the Drivers Dood Central Locking Motor as I believe that one is the master, I used a known working one I have in another Disco and yet still no go....
Does anyone know if there is some sort of ecu or something that works the Locking??

Helpful ideas will be very welcome :y

It's a Land Rover... Of course it's not working :P ::) ;D

What year was it? I would imagine it might have an ECU of some kind. :-/

It is a 1996 Lazytinker but I cant find any ecu anywhere for the central locking  :( however there is a microswitch on the inside of the door handle wondered if that could be the problem...

Hey would you believe what is stamped on the Lock Mech???? GM ;D

Yeh, they suffer badly from broken wiring.

Still, its better than working on a Series 3 like I have had to do for the last 2 nights !  >:(
