sun roof problems..

today serviced the sunroof as it was behaving with its own mind..

I think 2 reasons may cause that..  either condensation of hot air on cold parts (mine does this generally on very cold weather when I open the heaters) or some condansators ..

I think you are spot on with the condensation theory as mine has just started to tilt as soon as the heater starts up on cold damp days, never a problem up to now.

Yep didn't think of that but your right it only happens on cold damp days, BINGO,!!!!  Took it all to bits last week for nothing, >:(

I've just started having this happen to me (it's freaky when it opens by itself at night!), it might be a coincidence but it only started after I got the leak by the oil cooler.

Might be worth remembering in case it's a sign of something leaking in yours?

Mine only tends to tilt on it's own accord after recent use,(usually first thing in the morning). After a few days it stops and the problem only arises again after using the sunroof again ::)

update: after cleaning the sunroof internals and changing the bulb, turning on the heaters have no effect .. its been a rainy week here and the sunroof remains silent..and behaves like a good boy ;D
