Vec C CDTI low power

I thought I'd see if any kind soul could help...
Today, I took in as a P/X a 2004 '04' Vectra 1.9 CDTI Elite estate. It's painfully slow, and the spanner light appeared on the dash after 15 miles or so. It's not the spanner light as we get on the Omega, it's a digital spanner light in the cluster.
It's now done 97,000 miles and at 94,000 it had a new EGR and inlet manifold, which I believe are the common issues that cause low power.
Does anyone have an idea?
There's nothing obvious I can see wrong with it.
Codes will be read at some point, pedal trick doesn't work...is there another method for the C?  :y

Also - is it worse under 2000 rpm - what's it like at revs higher than this?

Hello James!
I think I'll send Jaime a PM at some point and see if I can book in a tech 2 session if he has the time.
Unfortunately I don't have a code reader, but it's something I shall need to purchase I think  :y

It seems terrible across the whole rev band, from pulling off to almost red line it's just lacking power and slow. I'd almost think the turbo was u/s, but below when the turbo should kick in, it's still too slow.

You can read the fault codes. they come up on the instrument panel lcd display.

Usual issues are either the EGR valve or, at that age, the swirl flaps.
