Oooooo! Mr Postman has been a busy boy
« on: 29 March 2011, 19:08:16 »

Lots of interesting boxes arrived today, and for once, they were addressed to me (normally only bills have my name on ;D), so exciting.

Don't understand the contents though ;D

Gixer, you might need to stock up on gravel soon :P.  Kevin, blow the dust off your welder (mine is still producing birdshit impressions, and I don't think its the welder at fault ::)). Lazytinker, oh yes, you can't do ought, so you bring the cakes ;D

Joking (partially) aside, I don't understand the valves - I seem to have 2 floats and no pickup? I also have a gauge that was provided with front end kit, and another with rear end...

...me confuddled already, any thats just opening the boxes  :-[

So did mine. 2 floats is correct. Something tells me the pickup pipe is integral to the tank on a 4 hole setup so you just have a solenoid valve to screw onto the tank outlet. Does that make sense?

So the pickup is welded inside tank (not unwrapped that)?

Also, the evap arrived, no clues as to which is coolant ports and which is gas - I'll try to get a pic up tomorrow.

I might, quite a big *might* be going to a standard Mon-Fri 9/5 day soon, which means garage could be available at weekends  :y

Be simple enough to work out ;) ;)

Pickup inside tank rings a bell :y :y

As for me being available... I'm bugger all good fro work, although may be able to lie down underneath for a while and turn a spanner/secure pipe runs :-/

Currently awaiting an appointment for MRI scan at the hospital as there is talk of surgery to repair/remove/replace the disk which appears to be prolapsed and pushing on the spinal column :'( :'( May be up to 13 weeks beforew the consultant even sees me, never mind waiting for the scan/operation >:( >:(

Now in constant pain but just have to get on with it at the moment ::) ::)

I need to get time to practice more. I'm 80% through tidying and sorting the garage out, so hopefully by the summer should be able to play a bit more in there.  I think the settings are about right, I just need to practice technique a bit more :y

...but not practice on my crossmember ;D
