egr blanking.
« on: 05 April 2011, 10:25:35 »

cleaned out the manifolds on the old transit diesel. i read that the coke tin route wasnt very good as it burns thru, so used a (in this case) a 10p coin.

on removal of the valve, i found .. nothing.

the 10p piece had just disappeared/melted.

i wounder if the 5p s on the v6 s have done the same?

I would be a bit worried as to where your 10p has gone, not just because your now 10p poorer, but i would be very suprised if its melted away, would need to get a bit hotter then ehxaust gasses to completely melt a metal coin.
