mine is my first one, and including sorting the niggles at time of purchase, basically the stereo being re-coded, and adding the elite wheels, spoiler and irmscher grille, it's cost me £2407, any other costs were general maintainence costs

£8000 and no regrets because at that price for a 2.5V6 18 month old car with sub 20K miles on the clock it was dam cheap.

I paid that for my 2.2 42k 2.5yo  :-[ ......but you try finding a 2003 estate....blinking difficult at the time....but i was after a 2.2......which i might have been better off with a 2.6 in hindsight :-/

Altho i did get 12 month warranty and vx did change a few bit and bobs under warranty.....cd/radio...exhaust manifold...brake pads...water pump.....but i wont mention the cam sensor  :-X

Have just turned myself grey.
As a sad git, I use microsoft money so know everything I have spent, and on what.
My car cost £28,000 new (company car.) I bought it from them at 2 years old for £12,500.
I've just analysed my spending since then to see what I have spent on running costs.
Total running costs since March 2002 = £23,000!! (includes an MGF which does very few miles, and a hillman minx that hardly moves at all).
£7,700 of that is maintenance bills (hopefully drastically reduced since joining this forum  :y )
£11,100 on fuel
The rest on insurance, tax, RAC cover, Nav maps etc

Gulp  :o

I am on Omega number 17 now. Most spent? £750 for the very first one. Least spent? £215 for one, £250 for another. Most made? Aha! Now that would be telling.

:-? £2100 for mine 4 1/2 years ago, it was mint with only 58k on the clock.  Trouble free motoring for 3 years and only irritating stuff now, car don't owe me a penny really!   :)

£3995 a few weeks ago for my 2002 2.6CD with leather and only 18k miles on the clock. Pretty much showroom condition and a real bargain, I think. :y

All been around this value

5300 P Reg GLS 2.0
3900 N Reg CD
5250 W Reg MV6 :'(
4500 Y reg CD

The first insurance settlement was poor, the MV6 settlement was £1000 more than I expected (more than car cost me) and paid for a years insurance :o
