Just confirm that this car is way over priced ... even if it's lpg estate.  ;)

There was a thread on ABS a while ago about the prices of classic Vauxhalls compared to equivilent Fords. The point seemed to be that the Vauxhalls / Opels don't seem to hold the same value and there really isn't a reason why they shouldn't.

Omega is now going down the worthless slope due to fuel costs and the World thinking that scrapping your car and buying a new smaller one will save the planet (Don't start me on that one!). It'll reach the same territory as Senators and Carltons eventually but I guess that's a few years away at present.

The good side of lots of cars being scrapped is there are plenty of spares to keep ours running for now!

While that estate is up for good money, if your in the market for a large RWD estate with a decent engine it'd still tempt me because, as Martin says, 'What else could you get for the money?'

Yes, it's more than I'd want to pay but I wouldn't say it's ridiculously overpriced if it's in A1 condition and fully serviced etc ;) ;)

It's overpriced because it hasn't got a towbar fitted  ;D

A detachable would be easy to sort out.

Apparently it had a VSi system fitted at around 8000 miles at a cost almost £2000+vat .......  :o :o Toroidal tank fitted in the spare wheel well which means the boot floor has been lifted 2". Seems a daft idea to lose the flat load area by raising part of it.  :-/
A black interior would look nicer too.  ;)

That and the fact that mine doesn't do many miles per annum is what puts me off lpg on the estate

If you were in the market for a big estate though.... What would a similar age/milage BMW 5 series or Merc cost?

I typed a replay to this yesterday but don't seem to have posted it so I'll go again ::) ::)

Yes, it's a little more than I'd want to pay but it does tick (almost) all the boxes on my requirements and if I wasn't watching the pennies at the moment I would seriously be considering a visit to discuss it ;) ;)

At the end of the day, it's a late registered 3.2 estate that has already had the money spent for a LPG conversion... I don't think it's hideously overpriced, as long as it is in good condition and the servicing is all up to date, but it is a very good starting point for negotiation ;) ;)
