going to be lowering my omega soon and want to know what i am getting my self in to 

or if you are going to be lowering your car over the next few weeks could you write one for me please

I may well be lowering my car tomorrow depending on the weather.
My springs just arrived today.

I will take pictures as and when i can. will let you know how i get on.

I'd advise doing the shocks as well. unless you want your spine dislodging.

i know, thats what i would advise also....however, im only doing the springs until later in the year maybe

Strongly advise waiting until you can do all your work at once. You need to consider set up, camber, inner tyre edge wear ....

Someone explain, beginning to think it's just me.

Dont get preachy....

I know the outcome of my own actions chris.

I have been waiting to do the wishbones since ive had the car....It handles like a pig already, its all over the shop at the rear end because of bad camber setups and shot rear doughnuts......

Ive driven it 5000 miles like that.....because i had no money.

Now, i have all the parts...and I have the time.....
I'm going to do it all over the next couple of days, and then go to WIM.
I see nothing wrong with that statement.

As for the shocks...that's personal preference as far as i'm concerned. These springs are designed to work with standard shocks and as such the choice is mine. I may well experience a slightly harsh ride, but if my shocks are ok, then i see no reason to spend even more money.

sweet, well just a few photos of the front and back and a little write up if poss.

the guide section on this site looks okay, but there is nothing regarding springs, which is odd as i would have thought it is a fairly common mod with such a high riding car  :-?

There is a guide on rear spring removal though....which is all you would need to know in order to lower it. Sooooo technically lol.

As for the fronts...well if you've changed springs before then you have a rough idea like me, but I'll be mostly taking as it comes.

Spring compressors are most likely a must. and it will just be the same as removing the front shocks and compressing the springs, undoing top mounts blah blah.

i was looking through the guides earlier but i couldnt find anything on rear springs.

i lowered my calibra myself, but this is a different car and i am not really comfortable in carring out the work without looking at what i will be getting myself into.

Yeah my front left is well out at around 2.something, but the right hand side is correct.

The rears I'm not too sure about, they look out, but i experience no uneven wear at all....so who knows.

All i know is that since i've had it, it's handled OK, but it doesnt really like going in a straight line much, and there's a fair bit of body roll.

So will most likely need some antiroll bar bushes as well.
springs will help, but i'm not sure how much the camber can be corrected by WIM after i fit the lowered springs.

Hopefully enough to correct the drop. I'll take as close as they can get mind

i have seen a guid on here for that, so i will take messurements before i lower it.

i take it as there is a guide for camber that this can be adjusted with not mods needed...

as the calibra needs a camber correction kit iirc ?
