I would like to upgrade my daughter's TF to twin horns. Does anyone know if the Rover 200/400 horns are the same?

TBH, horns are horns... You might have to "adjust" the wiring but they're pretty basic in design ;)

As said, horns is horns...
I used to go to the scrap yard and raid the biggest car I could find of it's horns, then spend a few minutes with the soldering iron and heat shrink to replace the stupid sounding and slightly effeminate 'beeeep' with a proper manly 'honk'!

Fair points, I was really thinking of adding a matching horn to the existing, but as said, a new pair would be as good. :y

Horns should be a matched pair; a high and low tone. ANY pair will do, just wire them in series once you've bolted them to the car.

Best ones are the big Lucas ones found on sixties and seventies cars, once you've cleaned the points they're bloody loud.

They should be in parallel. :y

Agreed. I've got a pair of really cheap, nasty Italian ones on the Westfield. They appear to convey the desired information pretty effectively. ;D

Air horns are fun ;D but only if you can find the horn button!

I went to pound the horn on the way to work after some berk in a Mercedes shot across the roundabout I was already on only to find I was punching nothing but the airbag...

Didn't convey the same message to the other driver, I suspect ;D

What you need is a train horn from one of the big locomotives in the US, that will get peoples attention.

Have seen some stuff on Youtube of a guy that fitted on to his pickup, quite funny  ;D I would find a link but my internet police at work won't let me on Youtube.

Why do small cars have such pathetic sounding horns?

I would have to never use them.

Rather run someone over than use a wimpy horn

I did it again this morning! Only two times I've had need of the horn since I had the car and both within a week..

Either everyone else's driving suddenly got a lot worse, or I'm having a bit of an anger problem this week  :-X

My TD was supplied new with only one horn! I had to get VX to add the second one under warranty. >:(
