nah you should be ok the only time i would tell the insurance company is if you fit seat that dont have front air bags in the seats and the old seat you removed do have them.

certain modifications to your car you can get away with as "optional extras" and therefore you dont need to declare them!

Why not give them a call. If they don't want to know it's cost you a phone call. If they do it's saved you being uninsured in the event of an accident etc.  :y

its not like a set of recaros, if they're omega seats then he's covered, in the event of an accident he can plead ignorance to the fact that they werent always leather but i dont even think they'd question it

I haven't told my insurers about my elite spoiler and elite wheels on my gls, insurers are more concerned about aftermarket modifications

thanx for the advice guys.. i thought i would ask as my mate who bought my 2.0 veccy off me has just been arse ended by a daewoo matiz an the accident repairers have refused to repair the car as it has a rear boot spoiler, irmscher exhaust an colour coded bumper!!! the only item that was not there when i nought the car was the exhaust i got that from lmf for 150 quid  the spoiler an bumper are both orignals i.e. optional extras that the original owner asked for when he bought the car i know this cause i contacted him when i got her to ask if it was an sri rather than the ls model thats stated on the v5 an he told me that it was an ls so i just dont understand wot the problem is with this repairers they r gonna get paid by the insurance company as the other driver admitted to coppers it was her fault as she was on the phone arguing with her husband!!! >:( >:( now my mates got to wait even longer to get his car back as they argue it back an forth... it just pisses you off you work hard pay through the nose for insurance an then when you need it you just get shit on...might as well do wot the illegals do just drive it like you stole it!!!

some insurers are extremely fussy and arsey aswell, i think even if you eventually argued the spoiler and bumper point, they'd still use the exhaust as an excuse not to repair, but i'd personally argue like hell if it was my car, especially since I legitimately pay my insurance.. I wont give my opinion on people who dont bother getting insurance!
