'dangle berries' M.O.T crash and burn
« on: 09 June 2011, 23:07:14 »

My omega failed its mot today badly
holes in the sills, steering idler knackerd, ball joint on the front knackerd, needs 2 rear tyres,+ more
gonna cost 400+ to repair  >:(

I paid £400 for it 3 years ago so i will be weighing it in once i have removed my amps and speakers from it.

I doubt i will be buying another one  i am gonna  save my pennies and put down a deposit on a new astra or insignia estate.  bummer tho cos i love my omega but it needs too much work to make it road worthy

will still be knocking around on the forum though  :y

I suspect when the MV6 starts needing welding for MOT, then she will go to the great scrapyard in the sky.

Things like tyres, I consider to be service items, so would factor in those costs when scrapping - I spend £500+ on MV6 tyres every 18months anyway ::)

I tend to agree with service items etc but when it comes to welding then I would draw the line, particularly given the low price and good availability of a replacement Mig... :)
