Sun sensor &gear knob

Hi again wot is the sun sensor for and wot does it do?. Also how do you change the gear knob? Does it twist or pull of many thanks

I think the sun sensor adjusts the climate control slightly according to which direction the sun is shining into your car  :y

Dunno about the gear knob though  :-[

If it's a manual the knob has to be cut off ... :o
The gearstick has a knurled top and no thread.
A new knob will have to be glued or held on with grub screws...

I'm sitting here pissin' myself laughing cause all sorts of painful connotations spring to mind ... ;D
