Bought a signum
« on: 29 June 2011, 22:18:30 »

03 2.2 elegance Spares or repair jobby for fun and hopefully a bit of profit. reportedly cutting out randomly and most likely the fuel pressure regulator as these are renowned for being shite, worst case high pressure fuel pump which may mean breaking for parts and getting cash that way !  slim chance of getting this done by Vx for free as they are still picking up the bill in some cases, even on ones this old.

Either way it keeps me out of the pub and I find tinkering theraputic to balance my hellish worklife at the moment, anyone come across this prob on these?

Yes, my neighbour. Fuel pump has been replaced twice in 4 years!

Aye it's likely to be the pump too but from the symptoms described it sounds like the regulator may sort it and is the cheaper part so will do this and see. Pick it up on Monday so will see what codes are showing. Got some photos and its mega mint!!
