Well mine consumes a lot of fuel, but then again its only 69p litre  :P  ;D ;D

Thats going to be one fat fuel bill  :o

Surprised you've not gone LPG route, towing that pikey van would quickly see fitting costs returned  :)

I'll just not open credit card statement when it comes!  ::) ;D ;D ;D
I like my boot. ;) The car doesn't generally do enough mileage to warrant the conversion, maybe 5000 miles a year. :y :y And just how much do you spend on a 12 yr old car with 170 000 miles on the clock?  :-/

Mine was worth sod all when I LPG'd it, but then I did have big commute. So I guess if you only do 5k a year its not really worth it.

All depends if you intend to keep it another 3 years...

Really? Well what ever floats your boat. Not a fan of those front end looks personally.  :-/

I'd rather have this for that kinda money:

But unfortunately only made as a saloon  :(. I want an estate-ish so I don't have dog hairs all over the front of my car.  ;)

Fair point, exact reason MotherT has a facelift Estate for the dogs.

But if you want a Merc, this would keep the dogs in the place, squashed to the back under the acceleration  ;D

I'm trying to reduce my fuel consumption, not get shares in Texaco  ;D ;D I did test an E320 diesel a few weeks back. For a car running on the fuel of the Devil, it flew!

The R class comes as a R500 though.  :y :y :y

well if i had 15k to spend ......i wouldnt spend it on one car lol.
But if i had to, and i wanted a fast, reasonably economic sports estate.....

without a shadow of a doubt it would be a BMW 535d m sport touring.

like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-535d-M-Sport-Auto-Touring-High-Spec-Car-/360377163582?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item53e8271f3e#ht_2306wt_1139
