MOT after 5 years standing
« on: 18 July 2011, 09:29:42 »

Oh well guys n gals here goes. After being stood for ages (see http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1295985347) my Omega finally goes for MOT today to determine its fate. Anyone care to guess how bad it'll be  ;D.

I know the screen will fail and the exhaust as well (although I'm going to bodge that a little bit!) ;D but have done NOTHING else to it. I have obviously checked safety stuff and had a wobble of various bits to make sure nothing will fall off on the way, and cleared the leaves out.

Test is at 11 results once I know. Don't think I've ever been this nervous about an MOT!!

Well obvious fail..... BUT only on small things. Exhaust and windscreen which I knew about anyway, 1 bulb (doh!) and the only thing I'm slightly worried about which is headlamp aim, but only because it has self levelling HID so not sure where to start on that but I am sure there's info on here somewhere. Only slight concern is he didn't do emissions but with huge hole in exhaust and only 5 cylinders seemed pointless!

All in all result I think  8-)

Impressive.

headlight aim may well be to do with a broken adjuster - see sticky in parts for sale, or ebay for replacements.
