Added a couple of cylinders
« on: 19 July 2011, 22:41:21 »

As you may know, I travel fairly long distances to work, and my mig is beginning to show her age.

Sooooo...... a weekend search on 'that auction site', revealed a nice 03 CDX V6 2.6, with 80K miles at a fairly low price. I watched it go higher, surprising the number of folk with 0 or very low feedback pushing it up, but I got it for a fairly reasonable fee. The  seller said it was a trade in, and he had driven 120miles with no problems.

I picked her up today. I had arranged a time, but he was several minutes late in arriving. A quick check, all fluids were OK, oil black but filled up past the full mark, so OK. Drive home was fine, car OK, a few niggles but nothing serious.  So another fine Ebay sale, totally honest car seller etc.

Wake up Ken, smell the coffee :o :o :o

My wife came out to inspect the purchase and remarked on the smell of hot oil. Looking a bit closer revealed  and   Plus a warning about Low Beam FL/Vision ?.

However she does go well, and has a recent MOT, even with

I'm booking her in to see Dr Daz real soon  :y
