cambelt set


I prefer instead of gm kit.. have the necessary markings .. and following the guides from here (I have the cambelt dvd files)
it was a perfect fit at the first trial..tensions correct, positions correct.. :)

I found the 3.0 inlet cams from the breakers (only one pair)  .. and guess what, they were fractured.. >:( >:( >:(

an idiot hammered them  >:( 

so I give up :'(


anyway engine is ok now.. much better than before as heads are polished.. tomorrow will start the manual conversion..

now the debate started at home .. I want to put autobox at home and swmbo dont want it ;D ;D :-/

today visisted the breakers and bought a vectra b 2.5 flywheel


and skimmed (or machined) with this

yippeee..

first drive with manual..

slightly modded engine, less weight,short differential ratio..it goes like a stink .. and roads were empty :o :o :-X

now its another car.. 

will post some pictures after mid is re-programmed and some small details :) :y

ps: vectra v6 smf works without any problem as expected..

thats brilliant news Cem!!! :y just had a thought,please tel me you remembered to put a spigot bearing in the end of the crank though?
otherwise the box wont last long!!

we put the spigot bearing .. I will post the pictures tonight (I hope I can go back home before 12 pm )

here are the pictures from auto to maual conversion..

I'll be glad if anyone on here uses the pictures to explain anything or for any circumstance.. I'm not that pro to explain necessary steps in detail..(although I witnessed all steps and done some myself (little ;D :-[)
