The Council i work for are going through yet another major re-structure in the past 2 years, well last night i just got the details of the new post that I fit into (ufortunately some people don't have an assimilated post ), anyway mine is the same salary as the mo, but have to sit a mini competition as there are 18 staff e.g., 8 from housing and the rest from the in house consultants side that can also do the new post of project manager.

Therefore, I would think that given I have been the top performer in project management for the past two years I should be in with a very good chance and not have too much to bother about. However, I may just want to fluff it on purpose, and go into a deployment pool, and maybe get redundancy and piss off out of this country

i know how you feel.. we`ve just got a new hdp manager an in her first meeting with the drivers an mates we where told that if our fts deliveries did not improve an absence come down from 9% to 1.5%??? that there are 150,000 poles that would be able to do our job an for less money than we are on...

i`m already looking for another driving job..i want to be able to look after my family.. i mean 12,995 a year dont go far unless you do jobs on the side an work your days off every so often

seriously though we went through this a few months ago too, although i was not directly at risk, ts still not nice.

 I am not bothered about the mini comp/interview, I am seriously thinking about giving wrong answers or something like that :question

Serioulsy thinking about moving to Thailand and just coming back to work in the Uk for a few months of the year 3 months here/3 months there or something like that, rent the house out so I don't lose out
