Havent had a puncture in a car for at least 20 years. Driving home from Chavtown on sea today, got with in a mile of home and felt the car sit down on n/s rear and heard the unmistakable rumble of a flat tyre. Decided to drive home very slowly as I was so close to home and I know that the rears are very close to the wear bars anyway, so wasnt to worried about ruining the tyre.
Half way between making the decision and home Mrs Albs reminds me that I have "one of those squirty inflator things in the boot".
Having never used one of those aerosol inflators before I decided to stop and squirt it in the tyre to see if it would help.
It did help a little, so I drove home gently. Then having read the instructions after the event (yesI know, its a bloke thing) I realised I need to drive a few miles to spread it around the inside of the tyre, so I set off again.
After another 1/4 mile the tyre was flatter than a witches tit, so I had to turn around and drive home again- very gently.
Just changed the wheel for the spare, and when I looked at the old tyre there are four holes the size of a 10p in the inner sidewall, so I think that one has served its useful purpose.

Anyone got a pair of 225/55/16 with plenty of tread on sat in their shed they want to sell me ?
