Insignia is Buick Regal http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/30/chinese-buick-regal-caught-dressed-in-red/
Lacrosse is rwd and much bigger and better equipped.

i think the lacrosse is based on the same platform aswell, and AWD or FWD. not RWD

Still, I've found some more interesting cars that could bee new Omega. Have you seen Bitter Vero?? http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/showDetails.html?id=130359849&__lp=1&scopeId=C&sortOption.sortBy=price.consumerGrossEuro&makeModelVariant1.makeId=10850&negativeFeatures=EXPORT&lang=en&pageNumber=1
This should bee RWD, and they had a model based on Omega before.

Nice to see that the Germans still haven't mastered interiors; they're either utterly depressing(any Merc/Audi/mk1 Golf etc) or unbelievably garish like that(or a Treser Quatro)

its a german tuner, bit like amg i suppose now? just based on large holdens, dont think they have ever done anything omega based (holden used the omega name recently with commadores) those holdens are all ozzie designed and built iirc.
bitters next model is insignia based.
