Know the feeling, every time I go to my mothers, I have the same problem, sometimes have to park 2 or 3 streets away, and walk. :(

I do on the odd occasion get it here too,but a couple of years go we used to have a family with 5 cars one of them always used to dump his saxo outside my house even if there was room further up the street where they lived!,So one day we came home just as he was pulling his saxo outside our house so i asked politely for him to move only to get loads of abuse,so i popped open the boot lid got out my towing bracket and told him i'd drag the fookin thing out, needless to say he jumped back in and never parked there again...now i do know we don't have the right to park outside our own houses but a bit of curtesy shouldn't go amiss

Yeah same here, if I get back before 5 then I have a chance, likewise if the day off, have managed to get it 4 doors away now, got to pop back out to the shops hopefully will have a new space closer when I get back. Problem is that they are digging up the roads on all the surrounding streets so its worse than normal, I think my street is next, so gues I'll be pinching someone else's space outside their house soon ;D ;D

It's terrible here too Mike >:(

I never know whether to park outside my house, or my neighbours house, or on my double drive - so I usually put it in my double garage instead ;D  It's good up North :y

... now i do know we don't have the right to park outside our own houses but a bit of curtesy shouldn't go amiss

I fell out with my next door neighbour years ago over their lack of courtesy about parking. At the time there were 4 of them living next door, each of 'em had a car, and as soon as I moved a car from the front of my house (particularly at the week end), that was it - one of their cars was parked for the rest of the day. I bit my lip for ages & ages until he came to the door one day to thank me for allegedly marking the back of his car that I'd parked 0.010" from.  >:( That was it ..... he got a couple of years worth of frustration with both barrels!!! I add myself to the list of all the neighbours he's fallen out with!  ::)

My neighbours ain't a problem I know their cars, its the estate opposite mainly i think that are parking, even worse when Millwall are playing, don't go out in the car after 12, gets chokka. I have only had one run in with some idiot over the road that decided to park right up my a**e and the car the other side was the same, but she had parked on the junction e.g., within 12 feet of on the turning almost. i had no way of getting out, found out which house she lived in from another neighbour knocked on her door about 2p.m., the cars been blocked in since morning, she looked out the window, and said don't bother me about that man, was I fuming or what, well, after I said what i said and she moved her car, it has never happenned since :y

:)Oh yes Mark! I can get 2 on the front patio, 3 in the drive & 2 at a push in the garage/workshop, it's a square shape garage but you can get a Mig in & walk round it easily althogh a mate keeps using it as a sprayshop, service bay etc. He put 2 7 series BMW seats in & called it "customers waiting area!!!"
I live with it 'cos my Mig get's well looked after. When i still lived down south it was a case of "race for the space" every day. Not bad for £39,950 5 years ago.
Move back up north Mick!!! [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

One of my neighbours up the road has 2 cars......well a beetle and a transit.....mrs drives the beetle....what she does is park it really badly so it occupies 2 spaces.....then (and it must happen with a mobile phone call) she suddenly appears and parks it properly and at the same time hubby appears with transit and gets in the now left space  >:( ......what can you do..... :-/
