picked up the omega last night

Finaly picked up the omega last night,so far so good,got the cam cover gaskets to do but apart from that it runs very well not to vad on the mpg either,just needs a good clean and polish on the bodywork where its been neglected over the years,will load pics when i get home at some point......

hi ya martin. looking forward to the pics. how bad is the body work?

also as well as the CC Gasket, do you need to/have you got the cambelt and tensioners dun too?  :y :y :y :y :y :y

No need to touch the cambelt to do cam covers...

sorry TB, what i meant was................... is the cambelt due or has it been done  :)

When we picked up the Elite Estate, it did say it was done 7k ago, but for peace of mind, knowing its done right (and the timing) also knowing tensioners are changed as well, it was replaced.

Personally, if we gained another Omega to the tunnie fleet, its cambelt would be changed, no matter what the history says  :y
