Cambelt kits
« on: 30 August 2011, 13:40:37 »

I'm needing to look at getting my cambelt changed.

Other than the stealers, what other makes are recommended?

iirc was Gates one of them?

Cheers. :y

Gates, Contitech - original equipment fitting.Wont go wrong with either of those. Bought a kit from ebay a few months back - contitech. Approx.£80 iirc, which is probably a lot then VX.  ;)

Vx quoted £98.60 for the cambelt kit, so was just looking round to see if I can get a good deal.
Also looking out for a cam cover gasket set, managed to get 1 set, just need another. Then I just need to bribe someone to do the whole lot in one, with me over their shoulders watching and learning!  ;D

Just been quoted £79.99 for a contitech kit with next day delivery of £6.50.

That seems to be a good deal, any thoughts?

Bugger, too late ElitePete.

Just bought the contitech kit, thanks for the pointer though. Been an expensive day so far, just ordered from my local stealers the Crank sensor and now the cambelt kit.....ouch.

Just need plugs now and almost have all the bits I need to give my mig a good, well earned & deserved TLC  :)
