..or move to London and go for street parking, after your car will be scratched, dented, and vandalised you won't care so much about some Sahara dust....
I know....
Then you should also know that Nick lives in London already
So Nick
why are you spending so much time polishing your scratched dented and vandalised London Based car
Because, just for now, it is not scratched, dented or vandalised, so I'm enjoying the feeling of having a "new" car.

Actually, there are one or two small blemishes on the bonnet and a couple of scratches that I got out with T-cut, but I think they were caused by something slung over the bonnet when it was laid up for years.
It WILL get scratched, dented and vandalised. I try parking in car parks with no cars either side, but still come out after shopping to find someone's parked a quarter of an inch away.

I do live in London, but it is a suburban street. The only problem I really face is the school run, but with a bit of luck we may be getting that seen to. I attended a council meeting a couple of weeks ago and came up with an idea to avoid cars squeezing past each other on my stretch of road. Idea was well received and I hope something will be done this autumn.

Bottom line is that I find polishing the car a bit therapeutic. Does that make me one sad git?
