can someone recommend decent floor mats?

as above.... would like some real quality mats that feel like a fluffy carpet so i can drive in my socks on long journeys and feel like i'm in my own beautifully comfortable spaceship.

Not sure that the old bill don't take a dim view of driving without footwear...  ...as someone who has been told off before  :-X

Got mine from here mate. Very good quality. Went for the deluxe ones i think and after 6 months of use they are still like new. They have 20% off at the moment also :y

Why is that Tunnie?

I think you can feel the pedals better in bare feet. The only problem I can see is if you had to get out quick on a surface that would hurt your feet...

lol ???????? you need shoes to an emergency stop.??? erm no!

Feel on the clutch yes, but stamp on the brake at 70mph with socks is feking dangerous! You don't have the same braking force as you do with shoes.

Thats why its illegal!

Things must have changed then. I remember my mum telling me that she learnt to drive, and took her test, in bare feet because she struggled to find the clutch biting point in shoes.

She passed first time  :y although it was about 40 years ago!  :( :-X

i tend to drive barefoot if im abroad and am wearing flip flops. just me, the open road and my kia something or other  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Clutch biting point yeh, I've moved cars in drive way in barefoot, certainly more feel, but would never http://ever consider driving on open road. Take the brake pedal its hard rubber, you need to really stamp on the Omegas progressive brake pedal to do an emergency stop.

Instead of applying good pressure with shoes on, your going to hurt your foot that will instinctively make you apply less pressure.
