Started trying to get to grips with the handbook that came with the AygoX, for a little car it has a lot of features thankfully the majority of them I'll never use, first manual car I've owned since the Omega so that's well over 12 years, quite nippy for a 998cc three cylinder engine averaging 62mpg so saving an absolute fortune for the moment, never ever considered a little motor like this but I really quite like it.

Come now Mr Rangie.  You know blokes can't read instructions


I should have paid more attention to the Doris who handed my the keys to a hire car I currently have, as she did explain the lights, but I wasn't paying attention....     ....then last night when it was dark, it took me a minute of so to work out how to do it, lol.

I don't have to worry about lights they all work automatically,  the only thing I think is ridiculous is that there's no temperature gauge just a light that allegedly springs into life if the car is overheating, crazy idea.

Even a 2004 Astra-H didn't have a temp gauge

Auto lights = work of Satin.  Was it really that hard for people to turn lights on when appropriate?  Clearly.

Its a stupid idea, as the car is too easily confused, and the average British public is too stupid to accept it's their responsibility to ensure they are on.

I very rarely drive at night now, if I do I switch the lights to manual mode I prefer to decide if I require full beam rather than dazzling oncoming traffic, I do like the speed limit buzzer as I don't want to be paying any fines it costs enough already being a motorist I'd sooner spend any spare cash on beer or a meal out.
