Cam belt, plugs, refurbed LPG injectors. Still residual bits of Omega on the front lawn but it's curry time. :D

Also on the gearbox theme ... Topped up my ATF (took just over half a litre) and moving on to get the antifreeze sorted as we speak  ;D

after clutch kit and oil change for clit last week , yesterday sanded the 5 year old summer tires (micheline pilot exalto)  with da sander and 80 grid (must confess it took more than 3 hours) .. reason was it had stil 5 mms of tread depth but surface nearly shining :-\ hopefully will see the results next weekend :)

and here is some info about tyre sanding

after last weeks snowy weather, finally this week summer tires are on.. results were very satisfactory after sanding (nearly a mm) .. inner surface was soft .. and the tires grip nearly as good as new on dry.. (cant see any difference).. but with the cost of 3+1 hours of da sanding and exhausted arms

Fitted a new passengerside cat.
It turns out it's much easier to do this with another pair of hands rather than do it on my own. I spent more time waiting for the lambda sensor to cool down having given it a lick with the oxy-acetylene to get it out easier.

I hadn't realised quite how noisy it had got.

Went through some 25 squid's worth of petrol just messing about on some twisty roads 90 miles say total (to test the new rear shocks/springs) and it's much improved the handling especially with sports mode and TC off, Tyres also cling on well  ::) ;D ... Off to get a pair of Goodyear F1 Asym 2 for the rear this week some time.  :y

In the middle of the tread.  :'( made a horrible flapping noise then a loud pop. Tyre went flat about 30 seconds after. I guess what ever stuck in the tyre made the noise as it flew out, then the tyre went down.

Probably repairable, but it ran flat for a while before I could pull over, so it might be buggered internally.  :'(

Yesterday I washed and polished my Omega.  :D

Today, it's having two new wishbones and a new driver's side cat as the current one is rattling  :-\
