What a pillock. Got TBE stuck in the same carpark in Sheffield as last time I went there, causing carnage as I had to get them to stop traffic, and let me out of the In  :-[

Definition of an idiot eejit? Repeating the same actions over and over and expecting a different result.

;D clearly, you need to raise the ride height. Clearly! ;D

Or change the front bumper, but to what, as a std or mv6 FL bumper just looks, well, like a friggin Astra

How does changing the bumper help the ride height?

How does changing the bumper stop the lpg lines getting caught? Allegedly.

How does changing the bumper stop the middle of the car grounding out (on the ferry?) ?

How does changing the bumper stop the rear bumper getting caught on speed bumps?

Forgetting France, and their ridiculous speed bumps, its the front bumper I'm catching (ferry, carpark). Not caught the rear for ages, and you recall we raised it a bit anyway.

Its the front bumper hangs so low, and the design of the Omega with the front wheels a fair way back, doesn't help  :'(

Right, so nothing to do with the ride height at all then. Silly me.

I know of a perfectly good 3.2 Elite going, which never has issues with speed bumps  ::)

Well, the superior PFL Silver Bullet has the same ride height at the front, yet doesn't have such issues ;). So silly you.

if it has the same ride height as Rusty, then the relative geo ride height is even lower, as the 18's have a slightly bigger diameter.
Which  will exaggerate wheel arch rubbing issues. Which you seem to suffer more with?

Those struts had more miles on them when they came to you, than mine had when I changed top mounts. While my new ones are Pedders, so not directly comparable, the old ones where well compressed going by the shape of the Pedders ones.
Add in older springs, and shocks....

...why am I trying to persuade you. Its not my oppsing car.... ;D

I wonder if Mrs TB has a tape measure, I could measure it.

But the Irmscher bumper does hang a lot lower than a std bumper (PFL or FL). Still, it needed respraying again anyway  :-[

Here's a thought...

Given that Tunnie is sooo keen to shift his 3.2 now he can't get a buggy in with the wheels on, howabout you replace TBE with Ts and fit the wheels, bumpers and skirts to it. Swap the lpg kit over as well and you will end up with a chavved nice Irmscher Elite which, like mine, is perfectly capable of negotiating speed humps at, er, speed... :y

If you ask nicely, he might even let you have it as a straight swap for the lpg kit from the Bullet ;)
