Taxed and insured it in order to sell it...

Drove it to its new home only for it to die before arriving. >:(

Was hanging onto revs, and now struggling to even turn over having coughed, spluttered and died...

Currently awaiting recovery... :-X

Had a responsible grown up check the sills on the Bullet earlier today.
How's that working out for you...
Bit of a rollercoaster. Driving to chrisgixer's, I'd convinced myself I'd need a new car. Pulled off NS sill cover, and it was actually pretty good.  So I was happy that the ol' girl might be worth doing some of the other stuff that needs doing (rear subframe, radiator, etc).

Then we pulled off the other side  :'(
Same on project II, N/S is pretty good, O/S is a total write off.

On the upside... it's only outer sills.

Abandoned the 2.2 on the road, must lift my car parking permit from the dash.

As you've all seen, 2.2 drivers side shot on on mine too. Not taken the near side off yet.

As you know, snap for me. Combined with everything else, such as clutch, weakened HG, suspension, aircon, list became too big.

All doable of course, but is it worth investing so much time/money, rust would develop in other much more expensive areas too.

I also had the feeling if I spent £1.5k getting it sorted, only to be hit by a truck on M3 and given £50 in value from insurance  ;D

Knowing that I cooked the head in traffic and engine smell was very 'bad'  ;D

At 191k and it being original along with it's recent cook, it was just around the corner. It would fail at the worst time to, just sods law.

Yup, it sat far into the red for some time, it was still fine by I seriously reduced it's life. That said still going at 191k was not bad!

It would possibly outlast a VAG 2.0 diesel HG...
