Havent done anything to it, but staying at Walton on the Naze at the moment and been driving it 40 miles each way to work the last couple of days.
Its still a superb motorway mile muncher even at 23 years old and 202000 miles.

You must have a long commute if you're hitting a motorway from Walton on the Naze. :D

Fair comment Kevin.  ;D ;D
By Motorway, I actually meant A120 / A12 to Hatfield Peverel.  :D
Thats like a proper scary motorway to you Suffolk boys.  I don't think you actually have a motorway in Suffolk?
We've got 3 lanes on the A14 going around Newmarket. I think some of it is in Suffolk. Will that do?  ;D
I think all of that short 3 lane section past mum's gaff is Suffolk?  She sensibly lives in Cambridgeshire though.

Driven it back along with the "tin tent" had three weeks away in Yorkshire the new caravan is superb a real " home from home" out of all the vehicles I've towed with nothing compares to the Range Rover, simply effortless..

In order of importance, weight and then power, and you’ve got them both, so an ideal combination.  :y

Did 420 miles in the milk float today. Comfortable though it was, I was very much ready to step out of it by the time I was done.  ;D

Removed n/s/r wheel from the Omega to start refurbing the wheels one at a time.
While I was there I cleaned up the brake pipes a little bit as MOT isnt that far away and did a bit of rust treatment around the spare wheel well.
Just making do really to hold it back until I can get the grinder and sparky stick on it after the winter.
Also noticed  the handbrake no longer seems to do much, so thats next on the list. Hopefully just needs shoes as I have a set in the shed.
Also noted that I will need a new back box on the exhaust within the next year.
No rest for the wicked eh.  ::)

A true pikey palace should be towed behind a clapped out transit with a stripe down the side, and tarmac gear in the back ;D

A heavy SUV with a thumping great diesel with bags of torque is an ideal tow car, and bigger Landrovers and Range Rovers do excel at that better than most :y.  You must have had the Rangie for a while now?

Nm stands for 'new money' in my world. ::)

My brain only responds to good old-fashioned lb ft.....or is the other way around.

The milk float Jag has 512 'torques'.....the little BMW managed 475 ft lb when strapped to the dyno at Viezu.

Had it six years now, spent a fair bit on it but its been worth it only paid £7,000 for it originally but spent just under £5,000 on it for servicing , tyres and various other things but it is totally up to the job  now , keep toying with the idea of a Landcruiser  but then I drive the RR and think I'd simply be wasting my money, just for the sake of a newer vehicle.

Wow, time flies.  Less than a grand a year including tyres doesn't sound bad at all for a big, heavy, luxury vehicle.  I bet a set of branded tyres aren't far short of £1500!

I think you're right, the main benefit would be having a newer vehicle, if that's your desire. I doubt it would be as capable - although you probably run on road tyres and don't use it's full capabilities :)

.

You're right I've got a good tyre shop local to me & took their advice for my usage & the fact that it's a sport so had Pirelli P Zeros all round earlier this year heading towards a £1,000  and they perform & are wearing well, I go across some fields & fairly rough paths on a daily basis with the dogs & have never had any problems even when they have been pretty slippery & sodden.

Wheel bearing and front spring on the Touareg, not nice.

Spring is a bitch, but wheel bearing piece of piss with correct tool which works on the car :y
