Anyone using Tiscali as their ISP ?

I am having terrible problems with these tossers at the moment is anyone else using Tiscali and having problems connecting to the internet...

Same here  :y Tad slow accessing OOF sometimes but i blame TB for that  ;D ;)

If its intermittent, its rarely the ISPs fault (I'll make an exception to that rule in the case of Plusnet ;D).

Do as they say, router in master socket, all other extensions disconnection at the master socket, try different filters etc, then they'll send round a BT engr.

According to the srvice staus page they are having problems with certain exchanges but are 100+ miles from me but from past experience when ever this happens it affects a lot more than the area they say..

Have sent them a very polite email,,(as if ) telling them to sort the bloody thing out but as usual no reply..

Done a test on connection various ways and what Tiscali reckon im getting is more than double what other progs are telling me..

Im having a bad day.. :(

Who you emailing? If your still getting nowhere i'll try to find the email addy of a really guy helpful at Tiscali......i was paying for a 2M link but couldnt get more than 1M when i tested it....customer services kept fobbing me off say i lived too far away from exchange.....in the end i got emailed from this helpful guy.....who said he make changes at their end.....and ever since he did i got 2M download  :y

On the phone.....with Tiscali  ;D ...ok may be poss.....but i havent found out how  ;D

Just checked my laptop....archive folders aint on that....so must be on desktop.....hopefully not on failed hard drive i had a few weeks ago and hopefully on one off the shared drives on it....coz the monitor on it is knacked (didnt get time last night to look at it) and dont think i will be able to share more drives on it from my laptop running in workgroup mode  :-/
