New Tires, Continental ContiEXTREMEContact 245s
« on: 11 April 2008, 22:23:10 »

Well it was time to upgrade the tires on my car.  The wheels that I have are from ASTRA SRi. 18x7.5, and OFFSET is 37mm.

OEM Tires were Dunlop Sport SP01 225/40-18 (OLD TIRES)

NEW Tires are Continental ContiExtremeContact. 245/40-18 (NEW TIRES)

And Pictures from the Installation...

And yes even tire rack can scratch wheels, they scratched mine, and denied it. Luckily it was small enough scratch that can be fixed by buffing.

And here are the comparison pictures between the two tires. Old ones on the left, New ones are on the right.

And here is how they look on the car...

Nice tyres, that'll increase your rolling radius a touch, but not too much to worry about.

I wish our tyre places in the UK were that big, spacious and above all clean!!!

Of all your pictures of the wheels, I really like these:

Well the recomended tire diameter from the factory is a 25.7" and the tires I had were at 25.1, the OEM catera tires are exactly 25.7" as well but in 225/55-16 size.

Now my speedo is accurate and the same as my GPS readings...  Before it was 3-5mph off...

That,s some selection of alloy wheels in the shop , some stunning split rims in there !! . If only somebody would tell the likes of Halfords , Kwik Fit , et.c. that,s what people want to see , rather than the likes of TSW , then we would be happy !! 8-) 8-)
