Idles beautifly, and runs on all it's cylinders, on both petrol and gas. Have been for a 7 mile run, and all is totally well.
Snags:
Cambelt idler pulley bolt stripped off in the head. Not my fault, it wasn't crossed, and just wouldn't do up - pulled all the thread out with it. I managed to get around this by re-threading the hole, and improvising a new bolt and washer for the pulley.
Thermostat gasket supplied was the wrong one, so this is leaking. I'll get a new one from Vx, 5 mins to fit.
May need a new camcover.
Need to double check the vacc pipe arrangements, I'll research this when I'm not so knackered. I also believe there is a VERY small air leak somewhere, I couldn't locate it on a short look. It's no biggie - I could have come across much worse!
Anyway, after a hard 5 hours slogging under the bonnet, she fired up first time, without as much as a fault light. Didn't think I did too bad there.
Off to get some LPG and be pampered by the lady now, a 70 mile drive should put it through it's paces. Followed by some consumption of some BEER - I'm bloody chuffed..... 8-)
