Firstly beautiful engine bay, of course!!

Secondly, this chrome spray, does it rub off/dull to a silver with use? That's the experience I've had with chrome sprays before, found the finish to be excellent...until you touch it!!

Haha! Right-o!

I used the plasti-kote (think that's how they spell it) as an experiment on a spare door mirror once. I bought the chrome spray, and the laquer from the same manufacturer. Now, given that they're next to each other on the shelf on the shop, you'd have thought they'd be compatible, wouldnt you?

NO! The laquer reacted with the chrome effect, turning it into a kind of manky version of Smoke Grey metallic (the old pre-facelift colour, that makes an Omega camouflaged on an overcast day!)

But for the short term, the effect if beautiful. And I stick by my original post that that's a lovely-looking engine bay!

What you want is a car/truck with a dipstick with a metal 'puller' that you can strip down/buff up to a shine like the filler cap!
