I left Work at 2.30 as the hospital was flooded and the Top Top Boss said we could go early as the tubes were shut, It Took Me till 6.00 to get home so 3.5 to get home and 2 Hours this morning so I spent more time traveling than at Work Today Bloody Trains and UnderGround And Buses

Just had a call from the boy ... all roads south from worcester/evesham blocked.. he's going back onto M5 north to try M42/ M40 down to oxford than A420 to swindon ...

wonder how he'll be for geting up at 07:00 .. if he's actually made it here by then !!   :-[

As long as he takes his time.. Theres a couple of hold ups on route for him according to recent reports..

Oh yes M5 is knackered Glos/Chelt area  :( Its been on the local radio

Text him back dont try the local/back routes.....the cotswolds area is bad....i know i was out that way this afternoon.....birmingham way to swin....via the cotswolds is out.....or was   :-/

I spent 5 hours this afternoon chasing jobs.....out that way.....i was 1hr late on one.....best was 15mins late....all buggered off and no pickups  :( 5 hours and 1/2 tank fuel used  :(

Gave up in the end and headed home......took me 2 hours to go 3 miles at one point  :( :o

Well, everyone was cramming onto the M5 at 10pm, and it wasn't moving. I wanted to go to Cardiff - couldn't use M5 for this reason, and couldn't go through forest of dean, as flooded.

So, back lanes to Cirencester, A419 to Swindon, M4 right down to severn bridge and cardiff. Not one hold up at all  ;D

hope he made it, M40 was closed as well....
M40 was wide open by the time I got on it after dark yesterday.

Update :

The Boy got home at 03:30 ... 13 hours to do a 4 hour drive ... he got to Oxford no problems .. then A420 to Swindon .. got to outskirts to find the road blocked and had to go back to Oxford, A34 to M4 Newbury junction.. then to J16 and home ... one tired lad .. but at least he was safe.

We all went to Daughters Graduation .. was a good presentation... now setting up the party she knows nothing about .. we hope ... speak tomorow if the hangover alows  :)

just finished work i got all my deliveries off except 1...and that was because i was too busy towing a vauxhall combo van outa a flood near welshpool he had been there for 2 hrs no mobile phone nothing just a crying 5 yr old daughter he had seen a landy go through an thought it was not too deep..famous last words...we towed him out with our lorry an got him back to the main road it must of been a mile an half of flooded road. there was a copper stood by the junction who was shocked to see us as that road was supposed to be shut!! we wnted to goto the other side of welshpool to do our last drop an the copper told us not to bother as the roads where too bad so we just headed back to depot...cust was not happy bout not getting there new plasma tv today :'( ahh well mine works fine :y

the problem is you see everyone thinks that theirs is the only delivery that you are doing in that big lorry....... :P
