My MV6 3.0 Manual - And past Vauxhalls!
« on: 01 December 2010, 13:46:59 »

Heres my current love, below this are what I've got through in 4 years of driving!

Vectra GSi, MSD00012 - Loved this thing but the paintwork was a pain to keep right

Cavalier Turbo 4x4 - C20LET Monster running around 300bhp, had this for the snow last year and it saw a bit of summer before I got a company car and it had to go

Vectra SRI 140 - My first Vauxhall, bought as a £200 bargain and turned into a gleaming GSi replica

Very, Very nice, just goes to show how the Omega can be made to look current without going over the top, probably won't please the purists amongst us  but I would give it a space on my drive anytime!even if Mrs Nitro makes me sleep in the shed (as she usually does when I bring another Omega home.A credit to you :y :y

I just use Simonitz leather conditioner whenever I give it a clean, keeps it nice and supple!

Ill be looking to change the exhaust but thats about it, not the look I want... Does sound epic though!

Not into the Veccie scene i'm afraid but that's a peachy MV6. I drive a 99 MV6 manual which i bought from admin here. She's fairly standard except for a pipercross induction kit & a full de cat s/s exhaust system custom made/fitted by Rebel powerpipes. £340 with lifetime guarantee. I know the exhaust & duccie kit make little or no difference other than the sound but i like 'em although you can hardly hear the duccie kit over the exhaust.
I feel that two twin exits are a bit much. I enquired about two single exits (duplex?) but was told there are heat issues on the nearside by the fuel tank. Insulaters are available but i was advised against it so she looks standard. Otherwise i've fitted facelift door mouldings, full recaro leather & door cards, Bose from an Elite & she came with cruise control & i've added a private plate & the moulded Irmy steering wheel.
Just made her my own really!!! :y

Do you have any issues at MOT time regarding it being decatted?

Hi there,
Could You post some more photos with the lights turned on? I wonder how it looks, cause I'm planning to make the same mod on my lights next year.

Not sure how to answer that on a public forum suffice to say the car will fail or be advised on anything unsafe. My car is VERY well looked after & maintained other than the loose nut behind the wheel!!! It's not what you know.........Guy.  :-X
