..they look great Twiglet  :y :o - the perfect car - 3.2 Elite Estate in Black with a tail spoiler.... :-* :-*
That engine bay looks fantastic too...

Is your Father in Law having a bit of a crisis - the GSI's are a nice bit of kit - a bit firm on the cheeks - but a bit of a wolf in sheeps if you ask me .. :y

Cheers
Ian.

Thanks for you comments Ian! He's had the GSi from nearly new, and still loves it! He's always had quick Vauxhalls! You're right about it being a bit hard over the bumps though.... he drives it pretty hard, and I have to admit, I do look forward to getting back in the Elite... You'd think I was the older one, wouldn't you!!  ::) :y

I paid £192 all in, inc vat.  That was to have them acid dipped, bead blasted, powder coated, painted (in original vxl silver) and laquered.

The pics don't really do them justice... I'm well pleased!  ;D :y

They'll be the ones that I had to cut down by 5mm because they were that much longer than mine for some reason...  who knew...  ::) :y

Very nice indeed Twiglet!  Impressed with the engine shot - you've done a cracking job there matey  :y

What mileage has your Omega done?  It's looking super-clean is that.

Loving your Cav too, especially with those GSi slabs on  ;)  Cav's are my first love - my first motor was a Mk3 Cav SRi, with the 2.0 SEH lump in it.  Always wanted a GSi (one day...  ::)), but the SRi cost enough to insure as it was  :o

Queerer (if that's even a word...) still - I had to do the same with some I picked up at the local scrapper, to replace some missing ones off mine - they came off an earlier Omega (but still FL), and were slightly longer than the others   :-/

She's just clicked over the 100k now.  The bodywork is comming up nicely. I started detailing it last year, and hope to have it all finished before Billing this year!  :y

I've always been a Cavalier man too.  I've had 12 or more now, including SRi's, V6's and a 4x4 Turbo, which can be seen in the following link...  :y (you'll have to scroll down a bit)

Exactly the same problem for me! I do know that vxl make these caps in lots of different lengths though... I remember buying some silver ones for my cav turbo years ago, and the were loads of different lengths to choose from!  :-/

Oooohh, now that Turbo is a minter!  Did you ever have any hassle with the TxB at all?  That's the only thing that put me off getting one, seeing as a recon TxB was around the £1700 when I was looking at getting one about 5yrs ago...  :o

In fact, come to think of it... That reg no. seems to ring a bell - has it been in Total Vauxhall at all??
