Never talk to strangers...
« on: 23 July 2007, 11:10:02 »

Was in the local B & Q yesterday, walked back to my car when this guy pulls up along side me.

Said he was from Italy, and was looking for directions for the M6 south.

Gave him the directions, he said he was a manager for Armani, and had been working at an exhibition at the NEC,  been to visit an old friend, got lost trying to find the M6.

Thanked me for my trouble, and said would I accept a gift from him for being such a gentleman?

Started to smell a rat, he then reached across to the back seat, and shows me 3 leather jackets.

These are free samples, he says, feel the quality, they are worth £600 ea, you have a wife?

Yes, says I, he reaches over and shows me a ladies suede jacket, you give me £300 for this, and I give you the other 3 for nothing.

FO says I, and gets into my car.

He drove off then I watched him cut around the back of the car park looking for some other sucker.

I was doing some building work on a school in the summer holidays in the back end of nowhere when a car with Italian plates pulled up and the bloke said he was doing sometihng with clothing was i interested in the 3 leather jackets he had left, £300 for all 3.

I said no, but groundworker who i was with managed to get all 3 for £80, slight comedown in price, then he sold 2 in the pub for £50 each and kept the 3rd.

No doubt they were good quality jacket just bit odd they way he was selling them.

I got that with some Festina watches (looked horrible to me anyway).  Said they were samples he was selling on the side.   I offered him a tenner (what I'd pay for a casio!) - got a filthy look in return ;D

The jacket scam happened to me at Reading Services about 5 or 6 years ago. I also told him to f**k off.

Had many of debate about this programme, outcome!  Yes!  Jess is worth one!

But, seriously, the Femme Fatale is easy to be entranced by...  the way that the charming looking chapie appeals to the ladies....

Moral of the story....  "Don't buy anything from anyone who is good looking!"  Unless it's me selling it  ;D ;D ;D

I love these characters!

One did this to me in Makro car park about two years ago. I listened to him and at the end I simply said...

'I am arresting you on suspision of selling stolen goods, you have the right to remain...... ' he was gone. ;D
